“I have been using Henry Schein since 2013 and they helped us with all three practice refurbs and progression. Using their technical expertise in design and delivering the chairs, cabinetry and equipment headed by Simon Hemsted. The after service was phenomenal, and always rapid responses.
In 2022, we purchased a couple of practices and Henry Schein headed one of the biggest refurbs in turning a five-surgery practice to ten surgeries. All deadlines were met and any queries with the chairs were dealt with promptly, the attention to detail was hugely impressive and the communication with our builders enabled a smooth workflow in ensuring we were open by the deadline and that all compliances were met and all equipment functioned optimally and practically.
Mark Wright was responsible for making sure all the surgeries were equipped with materials from day one and with his wealth of knowledge in the dental sector, he was able to ensure each surgery was effectively stocked and within a budget. It is never easy setting up new surgeries and costs are always an issue, but Henry Schein saved us thousands through their practicality, knowledge and expertise. Their finance options were also the most competitive rates allowing us to spread costs over five years.
Currently Henry Schein, headed by Simon, are doing a big refurbishment for us at our Dulwich practice, building a practice downstairs, which used to be a pharmacy. The clinic is undergoing a 4 to 7 surgery expansion and the attention to detail from the drawings to the ordering has really impressed me. Again slick communication between Henry Schein and builders makes it much less stressful and comforting.
This is due to finish in five weeks, from the start of the building works to the surgeries opening. They are doing all the equipment, cabinetry and stocking of the surgeries to enable us to open on the 11 March and so far, it has been a very smooth and articulate process.
A very important contact within Henry Schein is the lovely Install Solutions Coordinator, Syreeta Alexis. She has been amazing and always available on the end of a phone call. She not only is heading the refurbishments but also has assisted me very closely when old equipment has unfortunately required urgent attention to keep us open and has organised engineers for us within minutes with very prompt responses. The engineers carry a wide range of parts with them, and this helps solve issues in a timely fashion, meaning clinical time is not lost.
Our old Belmont chairs which we inherited are all under service contracts with Henry Schein. The services carried out were very thorough and the chairs have worked great since then. I highly recommend a yearly service contract as it also covers a couple of call-outs per chair every year and a discount on all products ordered for that chair.
Overall the company have been spot-on and they even do our computer support, which is such a powerful mechanism for our practice growth. Syreeta has been very supportive during these refurbishments and on-hand to solve everything on a day-to-day basis. I cannot thank you enough for managing all our three sites and expansions. She has been very reassuring and always on the other end of a call or email to assist in anything. Issues like suction pumps, replacement head rests, cracked pipes on old chairs and scaler hoses have been solved very efficiently and professionally.
